I am seriously concerned about this guy and what this might have done to the league.
#1- That would have been 2-3 contracts over $20M and therefore 2-3 1st round picks plus comps. #2- Those contracts would have been un-tradeable and on top of that, would have left that team seriously handcuffed to fill an actual roster. Then...we are looking for an owner with no draft picks and no payroll flexibility.
We probably need to revisit that 30% and possibly just make a max bid based on possibly the highest salary in the Majors. I don't have an answer for this one but I could have lost a franchise cornerstone because that guy is a dope. Bids nearly double the next highest.

We have a few rules to look at changing for the better of the league.

I agree with it but it’s within the rules and that was a team on its way to being non existent. I like that guy

I don’t think he understand everything fully. Seems to have the money though.

I tried to explain to him that it isn't personal but it's the rules we have had in place for years. By making an exception for him was not fair to others who followed the rules. I would rather lose someone who doesn't think the rules apply to them then others who have done the same thing but understood the decision. He was going to be a problem sooner or later. Better sooner. I also explained that bidding on international players like Ohtani have no 30% of total cap rule and he could easily outbid everyone. He was bound and determined to take his bat and ball and go home.

I replaced him as the owner on Fantrax with myself for the time being. I was concerned he might drop all the players or something like that.

Well that escalated quickly. He wanted 2 of the 3 guys at $50m AAS. I was enjoying him and Cleveland breathing a little life into the party. Albeit very irresponsible and wreck less life. He was more the drunk guy you laugh at but would never dare let in your home. Good job Ron.

CJ. That is the perfect analogy. He was more the drunk guy you laugh at but would never dare let in your home.

He messaged me as well. I told him I was sorry, but it wouldn't be fair to pick and choose how to manage it. But yea...that team would have been unmanageable. We could make a rule where in RFA you can't win enough guys that would put you over cap or something similar to that. Idk.
