We have to fix some of these crazy rules. I don’t know where all the min contract stuff came from and obviously neither does Ron. So, I scrolled through the rules and we have more crazy than an old lady with 40 cats.

The Cincy guy who wrote most of this is gone and it seems as though Larry, I’m just guessing here, sorted all this out because no one else took the initiative.

What’s the protocol on making some changes and since it’s a 10 year league who are the original guys? I don’t even know who’s on this TRP or who does what? Do we have a schedule? When is the draft?
Do we have to send out e-mails so some of the inactive owners are replced or woke from hibrination? Lastly, what the HELL happened to my Saints?

October 2nd: Trading re-opens
Expiring contracts must have tags attached to be traded.

January 1st: All tags must be submitted

January 08-12: AL Restricted Free Agency
January 13-14: AL RFA Matching Period

January 15-19: NL Restricted Free Agency
January 20-21: NL Matching Period

January 22: FYPD begins
3 hour time slots 1st round
2 hour time slots rounds 2 & 3
1 hour time slots rounds 4 & 5

February 19: Unrestricted Free Agency begins
OF/C/DH: February 19-February 23
MI/CI: February 26-March 2
SP/RP: March 5-March 9

March 12: Minor League Free Agency begins
Position Players - March 12 - March 16
Pitchers - March 19 - March 23

March 25: Normal Free Agency begins

A few reminders:

1) Please continue to log in once a week or so just so we know you are still around through the New Year. We in no way expect guys to log in daily during the doldrums of November, but once a week seems easy enough for everybody.

2) Please update your rosters to show 2017 salaries and contracts for players. All players won or drafted must be picked up on Fantrax and updated on Proboards roster within 72 hours. Failure to do so will result in players becoming free agents.

3) Remember that trades involving expiring contracts must include a tag.

CJ, Above is the schedule. I fix the dates every year Ron and myself are working to get this league back to were it should be. a lot of the Original members are gone. Ron does the spreadsheet & trades. I take care of the off season schedule, the draft and now I'll be doing the bids. Looks like we could use someone to go over the rules and make the necessary changes.
