I don't know if none of the LM caught this, but the Marlins placed a prospect tag on both Charlie Blackmon and Kenley Jansen. Plus he hasn't even posted a roster yet?

Maybe we need to get more people involved or have more defined roles. It seems a lot is being done by a few. Whether that is because of lack of interest or possessiveness/unwilling to give up control by others. If we can get everyone to manage their teams, including keeping their roster spreadsheet up, then we can concentrate on running a more efficient league. I know some have been at this a long time and have backed off a bit but maybe it's time for new blood. That may also keep people more interested and less likely to drop out. Make them more involved and they will feel more empowered. It certainly seems we have a few people more than qualified to take on more responsibilities. Mac, (Braves), Josiah, (Phils), Tony (Pirates), Bob, (White Sox) to name a few. Some may not want to take on responsibilities but we will never know if we don't ask.

Ron & Shawn have enough to do with updating the rules, processing trades, Doing the bids & keeping the spreadsheet up to date. I have more then enough to do keeping up with all the traded draft picks (well over 100) and the MILB draft in this league. Jared & Jordon started this league in 2008 but Jordon is gone & Jared doesn't have the time to do much more then take care of his team. Maybe Nick, Anton & Seth could take another specific role. As Ron, Shawn & Anton know from joining me in another league we don't allow trades or winning bids to be approved until said team has updated his team on Proboards. No player is ever added to Fantrax rosters until it is done. Teams cannot add or drop players on Fantrax only 3 of us can.
Maybe ask some others if they would like to join the LO. Have some check the tagged players to make sure it's right. The Jansen issue should not have happen. I don't like that we allow all teams access to make changes on the spreadsheet. It's to easy for them to make contract changes without any of us knowing. Only a few LO members need to have access

IMO Jansen needs to be franchised tagged at 17:$10M, 18:$10M, 19:$18M, 20:$18M, 21:$20M or dropped to free agency.
Someone changed his contract from Kenley Jansen 2016: $10.65M, 2017: TBD FT to Kenley Jansen 16: $.4M
Same with Blackmon Charlie Blackmon from 2016: $3.5M, 2017: TBD FT to Charlie Blackmon PP-16 $.4M

OK, I posted an updated Marlins roster. Gave Jansen franchise tag & Blackmon prospect tag. I also lock it. I will make changes on the spreadsheet
New owner needs to make a commitment to updating his team or we need to find a new owner. If he really wants to stay here I'd give him the options of dropping Jansen to FA if he doesn't like his RLC contract.

I didn't re-verify the contract of every player tagged, assuming some of that work has already been done. But I suppose when you have everyone able to change the spreadsheet, things can get out-of-hand.
I would be in favor of tighter controls on the spreadsheet. There's a possibility Jared will have to change some permissions; I think he's technically the owner. I may be able to do some of that too. I need to double-check, but I don't have time right now. Need to get to work.

I am currently much busier this semester than I have in the past...been taking on more responsibilities and what not. I could potentially help out with free agent bids, I've done it many times the past few years.
Also: I've mentioned this a few times already, but I think we need to more clear whenever we make any changes. For example, let's not keep the league in the dark if we have to change the Marlins tag situation. Let's make sure if we do anything, the entire league knows that is done. We don't need any more shady stuff going on like the issue that came up with Jason this past summer.

RIght, but I think this is something that would need to be posted in League News. I wouldn't like it if there was a decision made by the TRP that only one person outside of the TRP knew about.

Kensley Jansen was incorrectly tagged as a prospect player. His PP ran out after the 2015 season
His contract for 2016 was suppose to be 2016:$10.65M. Some how it got changed to PP 16. LO have contacted the new Marlins owner to inform him of this. The league office has given him the option of franchise tagging him at 17:$10M, 18:$10M, 19:$18M, 20:$18M, 21:$20M or dropped him to free agency.
