The "new" owner has not been on since Nov 28th. If he does not weigh in we need to make the decisions for this team.

We will continue to have this problem until we make people pay to join. It's like an revolving door around here

It's also hard be these teams are terrible M's, padres, and cubs will be hard to find long term replacements. We might have to tag player for the marlins bc I don't think they have and we can't let good talent get away

Mariners I am more concerned with. A's, Marlins and Twins are on nearly every day and I have asked them to declare by midnight Thurs. If these teams don't we will do it for them. I just don't want to upset anyone to the point of them leaving and making it that much more difficult. Should we have someone run the Cubs and Pads? Cubs are a total rebuild but they have tons of cap room starting next year. With the amount they have this year they could pick up a couple of top tier players and front load their contract and do some serious damage next year. When we let teams get this bad it can be difficult to find someone to take them over.

Question: I forget exactly what we were talking about this past season, but all I remember was a vocal majority of people were against having a manager switch teams. I kinda-sorta' saw the reasoning but didn't fully grasp why people felt so strongly about it.
That said, how would the league feel, after the 2017 season, if there were a crummy team without a manager that I relinquish the Reds to a new (incoming) dedicated owner and took the crappy team under my wing in another rebuild attempt?

I couldn't understand that either. I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think we discussed someone managing their team as well as a team like this in the past. I think we need to find a way to keep some of the teams becoming so bad and make them somewhat attractive. To let a team rot away and hope someone is willing to take it over isn't working. Either that or we could be looking at that C word, contraction. The only issue would be trades and those have to be approved by the TRP anyways. I would be willing to run one of the crappy teams along with my team until we can find an owner willing to take it on.

My fear allowing teams change is a constant changing. If I screw up my team and sign a lot of long term deals and screw myself, then I can just change teams and it doesn't matter. I think it sets a precedent of you can change if you don't like the way things are going for your team. Maybe it really isn't a big deal at all, but that's been my concern I guess. I would be ok with some guys taking a 2nd team to help the team until it gets better.
