February 9: Unrestricted Free Agency begins SP: Feb 9- Feb 13 OF/C: Feb 16-Feb 20 MI/CI: Feb 23-Feb 27 RP: March 2- March 6
March 9: Minor League Free Agency Pitchers- March 9-March 13 Position Players - March 16-20
I think we need to combine one of these sections and start free agency next week.
How about: February 23: Unrestricted Free Agency begins SP/RP: Feb 23-Feb 27 This week will suck, but takes away SP/RP confusion. Or we could go SP ---- OF / RP ---- MI/CI/C OF/C: March 2- March 6 MI/CI: March 9-March 13
March 9: Minor League Free Agency Pitchers- March 16-March 20 Position Players - March 23 - March 27
Normal free agency March 30 This gives one week of normal free agency before the season starts which I am a fan of.

I don't think we need to separate the SP and RP.

So wait...is there a reason why we have SP/RP and then in late march we have exclusive pitchers again? Also shouldn't unowned prospects have its own week?

Since I'm updating the rule set and offseason free agency is set to begin, I'd like to clarify the rules. Currently:
"Each week thereafter, a field position (i.e. OF, CI, MI, C, SP or RP) will be open for bidding. You will only be allowed to bid on players who played that position each week....i.e. only OF may be bid upon during a week designated for OFs. Bids on a player not at that position will be invalidated."
I would like to make it clearer than "players who played that position each week." Do we want to say as long a position player played one game at a position they can be bid on? 10 games? I simply want it to be clear what makes an outfielder eligible for outfielder free agency.

Well how about with Tomas? Are we going to allow him to be bid on with the CIs because of where the Dbacks are going to play him?

What I've read is Tomas will start in the of with lamb at 3b. If I remember correctly fantrax is one of a handful that has Tomas as a ci. We as admin on fantrax can over ride position availability. Just a thought I don't care either way.
