Okay...this whole situation is confusing me as I'm updating the Red Sox roster.
Unless I'm missing something, Jeff Samardzija was traded in 2013 with a 2014 franchise tag to the Boston Red Sox. The owner who was probably only here for a minute put a restricted tag on Samardzija. For some reason that restricted tag was counted as "not eligible"...and then somehow Samardzija is listed on the Mets roster and I have no idea how. Can someone help me out here?

We also have a similar issue with Matt Joyce who was traded from the White Sox to the Rangers to the Red Sox only to be bid on in the regular season by the Royals.

Joyce is probably a case of not being on a roster in fantrax.

Yea only option I see. Do we allow a "free release" for Red Sox.

I don't know if that really benefits him that much. His worst contract is probably David Murphy but that's only 15:$7.2M 16:$8.3M...I doubt he'd want to release Tanaka.

I mean free release for Joyce. Since technically he would be responsible for joyce

Oh in that case...yea. I don't think he should be responsible for paying for Joyce when Shane just ditched his team when Joyce was under contract with the Red Sox.
