I'm afraid this league is falling apart and needs as much help as available. I think it's fair to say that Jared, Jordan, and I had a great run but our free time is tapped out and in order to get this league back to where it was we need to add a couple admin members. Any thoughts/ideas? I apologize as I'm just unable to spend as much time as I have in the past helping out and take my fair share of the blame for where we are today.

It's completely understandable Jason. We all know that this is just a hobby and obviously there are more important things in life that come first. When this league started up I'm pretty sure all of us had more time on our hands than we do at this moment. Don't feel bad...we'll be able to patch this up. This league has been going strong since 2009, which is saying something compared to any other league that I've been in.
As I have been saying in the past week, I am willing to take on more responsibility as I do have a nice chunk of free time at the moment. Obviously, like I'm sure was the case with you, that could change in the near future. I have an interview this weekend for a position that would take a lot of time out of my schedule and I had another interview a few weeks ago for a summer internship that may or may not happen. But as of today...I should be able to do more if need be.
We will be able to keep this league running...it's just a matter of taking action, getting this league more organized, and finding legitimate, committed owners. Not owners who sign up for a month, trade all of their talent for crap, and then leave and never come back (like I warned you guys about the Red Sox owner last offseason).
My suggestion would be, as we have a bunch of TRP members who I'm sure would be on board with helping out. Every person willing to help out should be given one or two tasks or so that they would focus their main attention to. For example, someone could be given the responsibility of overseeing draft picks throughout the year, updating the draft threads, keeping track of who's on the clock, suggesting rule changes for the draft etc. Then we could have one person designated to shifting through free agency bids, making sure all of the bids are legal. We could have someone going through the rules and suggesting changes that we should reconsider, polling other non-TRP league members and what not. By doing all of this we make sure that one person doesn't have too many responsibilities and we can have every angle covered.

I agree with Seth. Jason you guys have done a great job keeping the league together and now it's time for others to step up. I have tried to get rosters up to date and got nearly 1/2 the league done but this is my busy season until May 15th. I will continue to try and do this as my time permits. As for the rest of the year I have much more free time and would be willing to take on something else that is needed.

I'm all in for more help. I'm open to making all of you guys admins. Obviously we discuss all changes, etc... but I think we need to divide up all the major tasks to you guys if you guys are willing to help.I will change you guys access to allow full access to edit, lock, access posts. So how does this sound:
Larry-Tracking draft picks through the year including doing your best for the current draft to get up to date. Also could you post available teams in your other leagues? Seth- How do you feel about doing bids? Sorting, posting, making sure they are legal. Nick- Can you focus on tracking rosters? Making sure people are posting there players to there roster here as well as Fantrax once we get to the season? Ron- Can you be in charge of the current draft. Making sure we know who is on clock. Maybe we could post a pick by pick breakdown each round for what time slot every pick should go in?
I feel like these are the 4 major things we need right now. If that's to much for one of you let us know. I can do some stuff during the week right now until early March when my free time grows dramatically. I'm sure Jason/Jordan/Anton have some time as well. Also, if anybody would like to take charge of recruiting new guys that would be awesome as well. Any takers on that?

I can. However, I will only be able to check in once or twice per day from work. The chat is also blocked from here.

Very confusing to update drat picks when original owner of pick is deleted. Keep original owner posted then just add who traded to. I'm going through all recent trades to see what picks got traded.

Here's the final standings: fullcountbaseball.proboards.com/thread/7093/final-standings-playoffsI tried digging through the picks a few days ago...it's extremely difficult, which is why we need to be on top of updating this all year long. If you're overwhelmed by this Larry, I can take on keeping up with the draft picks and you can do the free agent bids. Thanks seth, We can do the best we can with the picks. If you need me to do bids I'll need access. Things need to be updated as they happen. That way we won't fall behind. It will take some time to get caught up.

This is in our league rules I take it we aren't going by this currently.
1.) The draft order will be set by the final standings in reverse order from worst to first, after the world series. The last place team will be awarded the #1 overall pick and the World Series winner will get the 30th pick and so on. If there is a tie in the standings the winner of the most categories will be the tie breaker and awarded the higher pick.
2.) Each pick of every round will be given a time slot. A GM can not make a pick until the team in front of you makes their pick or your time slot is on the clock. Rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 can not start until all compensation picks are made or the time slot for the first pick of each round is on the clock.
3.) In the first round each pick will have a three hour time limit. Starting with the 2nd Rd and each round after, every pick will have a one hour time limit.
4.) All un-owned prospects, first year players that are signed, and international players that are not signed to a major league contract per COTS are available to draft. Each player must be signed by the time the first pick of the draft has been made.

there's an age cut off for international players in the draft, I know that. And the clock has changed year to year...next year we can be more strict about it.

The Masterlist and team spreadsheets are updated for the NL West, AL East and most of the NL East. Braves aren't done. I have updated the date so you should be able to tell which have been done. I have tried to keep them updated for our very recent transactions.
