OFFERING CONTRACT GUIDELINES:
AAS = up to $3M, then MINIMUM 1 yr deal
AAS = $3M+ to $6M, then MINIMUM 2 yr deal (total min contract = $6,000,001 to $12M)
AAS = $6M+ to $9M, then MINIMUM 3 yr deal (total min contract = $18,000,001 to $27M)
AAS = $9M+ to $12M, then MINIMUM 4 yr deal (total min contract = $36,000,001 to $48M)
AAS = $12M+ to $15M, then MINIMUM 5 yr deal
AAS = $15M+, then MINIMUM 6 yr deal
RULES FOR OWNERS MATCHING:
Here are the guidelines for the tag holder on deciding the years of the contract.
If AAS <= $3M, 1 - 6 years.
If the offer is 400k - 749k you can only keep them for a maximum of 3 years at this salary, but you have the option to raise it to 750k and keep them 4-6 years
If AAS > $3M, 2 - 6 years
If AAS > $6M, 2 - 6 years
If AAS > $9M, 3 - 6 years
If AAS > $12M, 3 - 6 years
If AAS > $15M, 4 - 6 years
Now if no one offers a bid on an RFA, the tag holder can choose either to keep them 1-3 years on a 400k salary, or 4-6 years on a 750k salary.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation for Losing Restricted Free Agent:
Based on the AAS contract the player receives in RFA.
.4M to 5M:____Sandwich pick between the 4th and 5th round
5M+ to 8M:___Winners 3rd round pick and a Sandwich pick after 3rd and 4th
8M+ to 14M:___Winners 2nd round pick and a Sandwich pick between 2nd and 3rd
14+:_______Winners 1st round pick and a Sandwich pick between the 1st and 2nd
**If a team gives up multiple same round picks as comp, the first tag holding team that declines to match will receive winning team pick, and subsequent teams will receive 2comp picks in said rd.
