When we first put draft compensation on FRA we only had 3 picks now that we have 5 picks I was thinking we expand it a little to add 4th and 5th round picks as compensation say 2-3mill is 5th round and 4-5mill is a 4th. Just a thought, I wanted to see what you guys think

I'm not sure if 4th and 5th round picks really matter that much. It wouldn't really effect anyone's decision to offer or not to offer a restricted player a contract.

It could very well be the difference between someone keeping or loosing a free agent.

I'm hesitant to change it this close to RFA but I don't have a problem with the idea. Would possibly allow for some more player movement which is usually a good thing.

I'm not so sure I'm as on board with this as the others. I'm not fully opposed but I think this will either not effect the process at all or people will overvalue their picks and no one will send offers for any players.

What if we just switched it so that the person losing the player would gain a comp rd pick, but the winning bidder held on to his picks. Just for the 4th and 5th rounds.

If that rule applies only for the last 2 rounds I think I'd be for that.
