TOR gets: Jim Johnson 13: $3M, 14: $5M
MIA gets: Andrew Cashner (PP-14 $400k), Nicholas Kingham (Prospect $400k), TOR FYPD 3rd
I was asked to put this trade up for debate. Reasoning is Johnson is a top closer signed to a very healthy contract and Cashner has good upside but has proven nothing and the others appear to be throw-ins.

He insisted on Kingham just to let people know, we had a long list of guys and he wanted him. Matthew bitching I assume?

Cashner has pretty good upside and Jim Johnson has done it for one year (looked shaky in the playoffs)...I have no problem with this. Plus you add in Kingham and a 3rd round pick. You still probably win this deal Nick but I don't think it's vetoable.

I do think Johnson will comeback down to earth this year, and I have always been a fan of Cashner.

I like Cashner and think if he stays healthy he would be a better closer. (If they move him back I the pen) I really worry about closers with low K rates plus I doubt the O's win as many games as they did last year so his numbers will decrease. If Matusz stays in the pen he'll be the closet sooner then later.
