Not just the o's but the nats have players too. We need to decide on both teams. I mean we did post the nats players as wel If the Nats were my team, I'd probably match on Pedroia and decline on Gallardo. Actually, if LAA didn't have the winning bid on both, I'd probably decline on both players to be honest. not to sway you one way or another but just something to think about. The Nats have a good team with a something like 78mil in open cap so would they be more appealing to a perspective replacement having gallardo and pedroia or minus them and add 4 comp 2nd rd picks? Personally I don't have an issue either way if you decline one or both offers because I want both players with a pretty reasonable contract and I'm not out picks because I already lost my second after signing Mauer. If you accept I just move on to FA and attempt to add players that way.

I agree with Seth and Shawn regarding declining the match on Gallardo and Pedroia.

I agree with Seth and Shawn regarding declining the match on Gallardo and Pedroia. I also agree with not matching Pedroia & Gallardo Can one of us post our decisions so we can move on from RFA.

Angels already lost their 2nd rd pick when winning Mauer. What do we do now that they also won Gallardo & Pedroia at $10M AAS. He doesn't have a 2nd round picks to give.

The Nationals would get two second round compensation picks per player

Last sentence of 4.1.2: "If a franchise gives up multiple same round picks as compensation (for example, the Reds win two separate RFA players at AAS $10M, suggesting the loss of two 2nd-round picks), the first franchise that declined to match will receive the winning franchise's pick, and subsequent franchises will receive two compensatory sandwich picks in the same round."

Agree with Jason and Shawn. That rule has been in place since I have been in the league.

Thanks for clarifying. It doesn't seem fair IMO

Thanks for clarifying. It doesn't seem fair IMO Nats now have 4 supplemental picks between the 2nd and 3rd round.

I think we need to post that the Rangers (Ziegler) and Astros (Robertson) need to make a decision by midnight tonight in regards to matching. Enough is enough. Let's get this RFA fiasco behind us.

Wait. Who the @#$ owns Robertson? Astros won the bid, but I can't figure out who owned him. Why is this so hard?

OK, he's a Diamondback, but how did Robertson get on the RFA list originally? Anton only listed V-Mart.Again, I'm just kinda' perplexed how this turned out.
